Region 8 Assessments

The Region Operating Committee, at the September 2004 meeting, approved a plan for the Region 8 Chapter STAR Program. The Program is to be funded by an Assessment on the Chapter dues of $3/member. The Assessment is conscribed at National Headquarters and provided directly to the Region 8 Treasury. In theory, Chapters can recover all of this Assessment by meeting the minimum requirements of the Region 8 Chapter STAR Program. This Assessment also pays for a Past President’s plaque for all the current Chapter Presidents in the Region each Chapter Year.

Region 8 STAR

The Region 8 Chapter STAR Program refunds the Region 8 Chapter Assessment at the following rate:
• $500 for sending a representative to the Leadership Conference. This only counts once (no more than $500/year), and only counts for the Leadership Conference for the current Society year; and
• $1/member if the Chapter meets the Mandatory Eligibility Requirements and Strong Recommendations of the National STAR Program; or
• $0.50/member if the Chapter meets the Mandatory Eligibility Requirements of the National STAR Program

Criteria:
Criteria for the Region 8 SPY will be the same as the National Criteria. This makes it easy to submit our SPY for the National Award - a lot less work for the applicant.  Download the National Petition Information & Guidelines here.
